Well, I figured I'd change things up a bit here since it's been a slow day in Detroit sports (aside from the Indians beating up on Fister... :s) -- I have a non-Lions question for our community here. I'm in a unique situation in my fantasy league and I figure if there are some voices I respect when it comes to football, it's a couple of the voices from here (I stress... just a couple.)
As I said earlier, I'm in a pretty unique situation in my Full Dynasty Keeper PPR League (Restricted Free Agents, Holdouts, Contracts, etc. Very in-depth and different league)... After my 11-2 season, I'm returning my core squad from last year but I managed to trade into some pretty great picks for the upcoming draft. It's a primarily rookie draft. The only non-rookie's worth taking are MJD and Chris Ivory. MJD will go #1 overall and this is where it get's interesting.
I hold draft the 2nd, 3rd-7th and 9th draft picks (Wasn't kidding when I said unique situation). MJD will go first. Leaving me with the 1st rookie pick at #2.
This brings me to the question referred to in this FanPost subject. Do I draft Le'Veon Bell, or Montee Ball at #2...
The 2nd best RB avail will surely go at #3. Leaving Bernard, Tavon Austin, Lacy and either Hopkins or Patterson at 7. I plan on taking Franklin at 9 to handcuff Lacy unless he's gone, in which case I take who is left from Hopkins/Patterson.
So, dear other Lions fans... The question is Bell or Ball at #2. What would Detroit Lions fans/experts do?
