The Detroit Lions returned to the practice field on Wednesday with an injury report more than twice the size of the list for Week 1. That's bound to happen after an actual game has been played, I suppose, and the good news is that only three of the seven players on Wednesday's injury report actually missed practice. Take a look:
RB Reggie Bush (finger/groin) - Fully practiced
OT Jason Fox (groin) - Did not practice
DE Jason Jones (knee) - Limited in practice
DT Nick Fairley (shoulder) - Did not practice
S Don Carey (hamstring) - Did not practice
S Louis Delmas (knee) - Limited in practice
S John Wendling (ankle) - Limited in practice
Fox and Carey both were unable to finish Sunday's game after getting hurt, and Jim Schwartz said on Wednesday that he's unsure when they will be back. Carey's injury isn't a huge deal right now considering he played strictly special teams against the Minnesota Vikings, but the Lions need Fox back considering he's their starting right tackle.
Fairley also suffered his injury during Sunday's game. Hopefully his absence from practice was more precautionary than anything.
