What if? Week 3 Edition

Yeah, I missed weeks 1 and 2, but I decided I wanted to try doing a weekly post and here it is. Basically, I'm going to look at things, good and bad, for the Lions and ask "what if?" about them.

What if Joique Bell continues to be a playmaker? Some of you might be surprised to find out that Joique Bell currently leads the league in receiving yards among running backs. Some of you might also be surprised that he was the third leading receiver in the NFL among running backs in 2012, even though he was never the "starter". This is clearly a trend, Bell can make plays in the screen game. He also averaged 5 yards a carry last season and was really tough to bring down, gaining a lot of yards after initial contact. So what happens if he keeps making these plays? What happens if he proves to be a better all around back than Bush? I think the Lions need to get him locked up for the next few seasons.

What if Jason Fox continues to be injury plagued? While Corey Hilliard has been ok since taking over, I'm not sold on Hilliard as a long term solution. To add to it, the only other OT on the roster is undrafted rookie LaAdrian Waddle. Waddle has looked good in preseason, but he has not taken a snap at OT in a real game. Is it time to consider giving Waddle the same role Riley Reiff played last season so he has some game experience on offense? I would hate to be in a situation where Waddle has to come in and play OT with no offense experience.

Sound off in the comments below! Is it worth the time and effort to do this every week?
