Pride of Detroit Player of the Year, Week One Voting

One of the things I've noticed about the Pride is that we don't really have a player of the year award that we properly vote for during the year. I think this would be something that could be really cool, and a more definitive way of finding out who played the best and most consistent football for the Lions during the year. The way I've thought to do this is by way of a point system, namely, a 3 point system. So, you guys vote on a 3, 2, 1 basis for the best, most consistent, most important player the Lions had in their win against the Vikings. So, for example, my votes are:

3 points - Reggie Bush

2 points - Matt Stafford

1 point - Nick Fairley

Now, a few rules. You have to vote for Lions players, and not units. No ties for points either as I'll only count eligible votes. For logistical sake, I am thinking I'll only count the votes that occur within 24 hours of this post. But that may change if you guys want it to stay open longer. I will be counting the votes every week and for the first half of the season I will be posting a leaderboard. After then, the leaderboard goes silent.

Shoot me any suggestions in regards to this as well in the comments section. Hope you guys participate!
