The Lions' NFL Draft Prospects

This is the draft that will determine the Lions' future, and here's why:

The WR and CB positions in this draft are deep. The Lions can very well draft both WR and CB in the first two rounds, and they may not have to trade up to do it.

Here's a list of the top WRs in this draft.

1) Sammy Watkins

2) Mike Evans

3) Kelvin Benjamin

4) Marqise Lee

5) Jordan Matthews

6) Odell Beckham Jr.

7) Allen Robinson

8) Devin Street

Some of these guys you might consider 2nd tier talent in this draft, but I have to say, the list is long even after these guys, including Davante Adams, Devante Parker, Jared Abbrederis, Jarvis Landry, and Jaelen Strong. I have to say, that no matter what the Lions do in the first round, they'll still have solid options at WR in the 2nd round.

Here's a list of the top CBs in this draft:

1) Darqueze Dennard

2) Justin Gilbert

3) Marcus Roberson

4) Loucheiz Purifoy

5) Lamarcus Joyner

This list is signifcantly shorter on top tier talent, but there's still a solid list of guys behind these 5 that have great potential, including Kyle Fuller, Deshazor Everett, Quandre Diggs, E.J. Gaines, and Bradley Roby.

At Center, there's a list of 5 or so candidates that the Lions could get in the 3rd round or later, such as Bryan Stork, Travis Swanson, Hroniss Grasu, Russell Bodine, and Gabe Ikard.

Obviously, no one knows how the draft will play out, but being positioned at #10, the Lions have the ability to take a top WR at #10, a solid corner in the 2nd, and a replacement for Raiola in the 3rd or 4th.

So with this looking so good, let's pile on. The Lions could use another OLB, a position that admittedly sees less action in Detroit than in other cities, but the talent level there in this draft is noticeable. Anthony Barr, Khalil Mack, Ryan Shazier, CJ Mosley, Vic Beasley, and Kyle Van Noy could all be gamechangers in the Lions' defense.

So with these 4 positions identified as ones of need, let's see how the Lions' draft could play out.

Scenario 1

Rd1: Sammy Watkins

Rd2: Loucheiz Purifoy

Rd3: Kyle Van Noy

Rd4: Russell Bodine

Scenario 2

Rd1: Mike Evans

Rd2: Lamarcus Joyner

Rd3: Bryan Stork

Rd4: Michael Sam

Scenario 3

Rd1: CJ Mosley

Rd2: Marcus Roberson

Rd3: Allen Robinson

Rd4: Gabe Ikard

Scenario 4

Rd1: Darqueze Dennard

Rd2: Ryan Shazier

Rd3: Jarvis Landry

Rd4: Hroniss Grasu

After looking through some of the possibilities, I've come away feeling much better about our draft prospects. The talent at our positions of need will be there through the first 2 or 3 rounds. The only concern we should have from this point is whether or not the people in charge will make the right decisions at the right time.

What do you guys think? Do you think any of these scenarios are possible, probable, or likely? Do you like any of these scenarios? Do you have any better suggestions, based on the players I've mentioned?

Let's throw down in the comments, boys (and girls).
