At this point in time.....

I'm reading my posts, and I sound a bit like a downer.... but really I don't mean to be.I am happy the Lions made some significant changes going into this season, and I hope it yields the results we are looking for. With all this change, comes opportunity... with opportunity comes a chance to be a break out player.

As we enter this off season , which player are you most excited to see next year?

Stafford to me is an obvious choice since it looks like he's being surrounded by some great QB talent but there's also some guys to consider that might shine given the changes.

1 LeShoure : lost his rookie year due to injury, but had a strong second season where he was given many opportunities to prove his worth, Not much last year, but now he's a couple years removed from a big achilles injury. With a year to rest, and further being healed will he be given a chance? The depth chart looks loaded at RB, but he looks different than the other guys (at least style wise). People assume he's not a part of the future but a lot can happen between now and the start of the season.

2. second wr : my biggest thing in trying to judge the Lions talent at Wr has been the inconsistent play of Stafford and the just slightly off passes, coupled with the types of patterns or plays called under Linehan, didn't always seem to help the wrs make plays. If the new staff helps Staff, I think we could see some of the wr talent on the roster start to make a bigger contribution. Since most of those guys could get a fresh start with the new coaches, and nobody stood out before under the old coaches, I'm not sure which guy it could be , Durham, Ross and/or Ogletree.

3. Jonte Green, Greenwood (again, every year for me until he's off the team): J Green seemed to improve so much his rookie year, then last year seemed to hardly play. Could he be a diamond that finally gets a shot to shine?
