In case you didn't hear it, former Lion, Jahvid Best is suing the NFL and Riddell for damages saying the league didn't protect him from injuries by making the game safer and the helmet maker for causing his concussions. Does he have a case? Isn't this the same thing former players said in the massive $750 million lawsuit (which is going back to trial if I'm not mistaken for more $$$)? Jahvid's NFL career was so brief and he had a history of concussions before the Lions drafted him which is why I was against it. We all remember that spectacular fall he took his last game at Cal, he suffered a concussion then as well. Will he sue the NCAA and Cal too? He tried his best to get back into the NFL but the independent doctors kept saying no and wouldn't clear him. The Lions compensated Best well in his short stint with them plus they reached an injury settlement with him when he was released. Does he truly have a case and should he be paid what he is seeking in this suit?
