A Statistic relevant to our Head Coaching Search

December 15th, 1991 - This was the last time our Lions won at Lambeau. This is not something we like to discuss or think about. Coincidentally, or perhaps not so coincidentally, that 1991 team was the last Lions team to have won a playoff game.

During our coaching search, in 2014, 23 years removed from that last victory, finding a coach that can win at Lambeau needs to be on the priority radar. Since 2008, the start of the Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rogers era, only one coaching staff has won in Green Bay twice, Jim Harbaugh and his San Francisco 49ers staff.

The 2012 49ers beat the Packers in Lambeau in the Packers home opener, following their 15-1 2011 campaign. In this season's opener, the 49ers again beat the Packers in their opener in Candlestick. Most recently, The 49ers dispatched the Packers in Lambeau during the Wild Card round.

Since 1992, and Holmgren, and Favre, those meddling Packers have kept this team down, in one way or another, ever since. Without winning the division, this team will be a joke, it's the only way to consistently assure making the playoffs. The only way to win the division is to knock the Packers off their perch. Sure, the Bears and Vikings have had a turn every once in awhile, but in 23 years, the Packers have 16 playoff appearances, most of them division titles, 3 Super Bowl appearances, and 2 Super Bowl titles.

We need to win in Lambeau, and we need a coach that can take us to victory in Lambeau.

It's time to stop ignoring the elephant in the room.
