As with the NFL Draft Game Suhmeforqbdamage posted the other day the Fanspeak Simulation Draft is another DIY mock that allows you to mock in real time. However the big board is updated weekly and there is no trading which makes it slightly more accurate. (No trading back for all 32 7th rounders).
Here are a couple of my attempts:
10 OLB ANTHONY BARR
45 WR ALLEN ROBINSON
76 C WESTON RICHBURG
107 DT DAQUAN JONES
173 G TRAI TURNER
204 K CHRIS BOSWELL
No Sammy Watkins at 10 means going BPA - luckily in this case that fills a need with Anthony Barr offering some peachy fresh Von Miller esq potential. I have read reports that say Barr is expecting to run a 4.45 - 4.50 at the combine. At 260lbs. That is insane and we would be incredibly lucky to pick him up at 10. The rest is filling our needs with ideally the BPA. Robinson can contribute right away and Richburg can as well if Raiola walks. Jones and Turner are development prospects for replacing Fairley and Sims respectively. Boswell obviously fits a need as no one wants to see Akers back.
All in all it is a pretty fun way of mocking - it is always easy when working off a big board to let players slip slightly. This reduces that a fair bit. In the second mock I did I ended up with Barr, Watkins and Mack all off the board, probably to worst case for the Lions on draft day.
