maybe its just me but i don’t remember news of any other house visits for a draft pick its almost like they are recruiting him to a college. Lions made perfect point above if wither of those he listed goes down we are back to a bare cupboard and we have already been down that road. I understand we don;t have an abundance of picks to work with but who is to say that even if he would be our number three receiver which its totally possible he could trump tate as the primary outside threat and the lions utilize tate as the 3rd wide out and punt returner. Regardless even if he doesn’t become number 2 number 3 in a Lions offense where the qb has averaged over 4800 yards the last three seasons and although there is a different offense now the guy leading it comes from a offense that has produced even more passing yards than us in that same time span so as a number 3 he could still realistically put up 700-1000 yard season easily as a rookie and that would totally justify it in my opinion because that would be more than our even our second leading receiver did and better than most of the leagues number 2 receivers here is my project below based off of Staffords three year average with sammy projected to receive less touches that tate and johnson serving as the number 3 option and could balloon even more if they use them kind of like chess pieces and move them all over Johnson in the slot on some plays even so every body plays all thre spots we would be unstoppable evil laugh.
projection (just joking but totally possible)
Stafford 4,885 passing yards (past three year yardage average) 410 completions (3 year average)
Johnson (1500)yds 100 catches
Tate(1000) 70 catches
Watkins(800) 55 catches
Bush(500) 40 catches
Bell(500) 40 catches
Pettigrew(700) 60 catches
Fauria(250) 15 catches
(Riddick, Leshoure, Ross, Broyles, Williams, Durham , Ogleetree and who ever else may catch a pass this upcoming year together would equal the remaining 335 yards)
30 catches between whoever makes the roster
After putting the numbers into perspective what do you guys think would a (700-1000 yards) season prove worth trading for sammy?
