Mock Draft 2.0

ROUND 1:

TRADE UP:

Traded This years 1st and 2nd, 2016 1st as a 2nd to 3rd rounder next year in 2015

Detroit Lions select with the 4th overall pick....

SAMMY WATKINS, WIDE RECEIVER CLEMSON

An obvious pick, fills a need with a supposed "elite" talent. A great pick in my opinion and a decent trade up price though a bit pricey. Watkins is obviously loved by many fans and has showed many pictures of him with lions gear/ hinting at his interest. Also the other two options of Khalil Mack the OLB from Buffalo and Jadeveon Clowney from South Carolina. Also picked by Jacksonville is Quarterback Johnny Manziel out of TAMU.

GRADE: A

Cleveland Browns select with the 10th overall pick from Detroit.....

Blake Bortles, QUARTERBACK CENTRAL FLORIDA

Another obvious pick for the quarterback needy browns. Considered the top quarterback by some a good pick for them.

Cleveland Browns select with the 45th overall pick from Detroit......

MARCUS MARTIN, CENTER SOUTHERN CAL

A surprising pick in my eyes considering they just resigned their center Alex Mack recently. Although i'm not a browns fan and don't keep up with them so i don't entirely know.

Detroit Lions with their 3rd round pick select.....

CHRISTIAN KIRKSEY, OUTSIDE LINEBACKER IOWA

Considered a big need for the Lions, Kirksey from Iowa is the Best Player Available ( BPA ). I personally haven't seen any tape of this guy or any games but if he's the BPA at a position of need, why not?

GRADE: B+

With the their 1st 4th round pick, The Detroit Lions select.....

AHMAD DIXON, STRONG SAFETY BAYLOR

I have seen a little tape and games from this Baylor safety and what I say was, let's say a 4th round talent. He is though the BPA at SS a decently big need. Not going to be a starter year one, which could give him some decent time to learn our newly acquired SS Ihedigo for a year or two. Worst case scenario, A safety gets hurt and he might get thrown in the fire if the team isn't confident in Don Carey.

GRADE: B

With their 2nd 4th round pick, The Detroit Lions select.....

A.J MCARRON, QUARTERBACK ALABAMA

I like this pick especially with a compensatory pick. Another great back up QB option went a couple picks earlier, it was Aaron Murray out of Georgia. I haven't looked at any tape of any QB basically but as a backup I'm sure he could be good enough considering his 2 national championships if i am correct. Not many better options but even if there were I pick in 2 picks.

GRADE: A

With their last 4th round pick, The Detroit Lions select...

BRANDON COLEMAN, WIDE RECEIVER RUTGERS

As being a fan of Michigan I see teams in the big 10 quite a bit. I have watched a couple games of Rutgers and he was decent in most. This being a late rounder compensatory pick it doesn't affect us to much and I believe he could be a good backup WR and special teams guy. I also don't like Kris Durham being anywhere near the field.

GRADE: C+

With their 6th round pick in the 2014 draft, The Detroit Lions Select...

A.C LEONARD, TIGHT END TENNESSEE

Coming from a smaller school he doesn't receive much attention. But I've heard he has talent and could develop into a solid backup TE. He could also be a solid special teams contributor. Worst case scenario he gets cut which for a 6th rounder i wouldn't be too upset about.

GRADE: B-

with their final pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, The Detroit Lions select...

AARON COLVIN, CORNER BACK OKLAHOMA

If i am correct he was believed to be a 1st - 2nd rounder before his injury. A steal in my mind if that's the case especially if he heals and could possibly be a Richard Sherman-ish type corner. Worst case again is a cut

GRADE: B+

OVERALL GRADE: B+ - 27th best in draft :(, Best in Draft - Minny Vikes :( :( :( :( :( sad face :(

So tell me how you think I did and what you would have done better.
