Aaron Donald DT-Pitt. (Clowney, Watkins, Evans and Mack all gone before 10, Lions get replacement for Fairley)
Cody Latimer Wr- Indy (tall, fast, good hands, good option as an outside reciever)
Kareem Martin DE- UNC (Tall, strong DE, fits the 4-3 scheme, could shift Jason Jones to DT )
Christian Jones OLB- FSU (Can play multiple positions in the 4-3 or 3-4, needs pass rush development, but has raw skills)
c:Shaquille Richardson CB- Arizona ( tall, good press corner, might be able to shift to safety)
c: Russell Bodine C- UNC (big, smart, good run blocker, could be a good heir apparent to Raiola)
Ed Reynolds S- Stanford ( big, strong safety could be a good sp. teams player)
Cairo Santos K- Tulane (Kicker is needed....)
I know many people will not agree with this draft, but it fulfills needs and gets us solid role players on our team. In the end it builds up the weakest part of the team...defense (other than d-line). If Stafford improves just a little bit in his accuracy, Lions could be a contender. Let's face it our last Comp pick, 6th round pick and 7th round pick are going to be borderline when it comes to making the team, but who knows maybe we find that gem (like Fauria).
I know we are sick of Mock Drafts, but I do enjoy reading perspectives and what not.
