A Request

Good morning POD, I hope you've all had sweet dreams about the upcoming season's schedule.

I'm writing this today because I'd like some clarification on this year's first round draft prospects. Every year some highly touted guys end up being total failures in the league, and I'd like us to avoid that maybe. I don't watch college football, so hype means nothing to me but a few youtube highlights which even then seem as a very minimal way to grade a potential NFL player.

Let me break it down like this:

Trading up

We stand to get Clowney, Watkins, or Mack. Possibly Mike Evans.

Staying at 10

We could go HaHa, one of the tackles, or Barr. Possibly Mike Evans.

Trading down

Could be anybody.

As far as I'm concerned I'm only worried about a huge bust happening if we pick in the top ten. That being said, if we pick in the top ten there are only a few positions I'd like considered for our pick. They are as follows: Wide Receiver, Pass-rusher, OT, or Safety.

What I'm asking guys is if some of the more experienced fans with good insight *coughreno09* could maybe do a comparison expose of the players expected to be in the top ten at those positions. Like one with Clowney/Mack/Barr, one with Watkins/Evans, etc. Because I have a gut feeling one or two of these guys are going to bust big time.

Thanks for reading! Feel free to leave your opinions on the position rankings and who you want the Lions to avoid in the comments.
