Lion's Away Game Trip Ideas

Hey guys, well now that the 2014 NFL schedule is out, many of us start planning our football trips. Living in Western Canada, I have been traveling to most Lions game. I have always tried to sneak in another game or two while I was in that area.

2009 - Seattle - Lions vs Seattle

2010 - San Francisco - Eagles vs Niners - SNF, Braves vs Giants, MLB playoffs

2011 - New Orleans - Lions vs Saints - SNF

2012 - Miami - Oakland vs Miami, High School game and Miami Hurricanes

2013 - Detroit - Minnesota vs Lions - Home Opener, Michigan State and the Michigan vs Notre Dame game

This year I am thinking about two places. Either Carolina in Week 2 or Arizona in Week 11.

I have been to Phoenix before to watch Spring Training and the World Baseball Classic not never to a football game. Being on the West side, a little cheaper to fly to and quicker, plus there is a Washington vs Arizona game that Saturday.

Thinking Carolina would be sweet. Never been to that part of the US so that would be cool. Plus there is a Georgia vs South Carolina game that Saturday. Tickets are more expensive for the college game for sure.

Anyone been to either place for football? Any suggestions or ideas to share. Or do you see another place on the schedule that you would recommend. I have been to New York before, Boston would be cool but pricey and its late in the year so you never know about weather.

Thanks!
Chris
