Suh Contract

What are your thoughts on Gerald McCoy's contract and how it will affect the negotiations with Suh? The Bucs are not in a cap situation like the Lions where they need to open up space so there is no pressure to sign McCoy other than locking up one of the best DTs in the NFL long term.

I feel the Bucs wont break the bank to get that contract done but will make McCoy the highest paid DT (depending on who gets the deal done first). Should the Bucs get McCoy signed first, does that help the Lions set a price for Suh or does it not matter?

I would like to see Suh in a Lions uniform for years to come but would also hope that contract doesnt cripple the team. With the projected increasing salary cap now is the time to sign him, if they are going to, because the impact is going to go down each year as the cap increases.

Also, I do understand resigning Suh is not the Lions only option to get the cap space they need to sign the rest of the rookies and potentially other FA's but I think it is the most ideal in that they get the cap space and lock up one of the top DTs in the game.
