schedule bad for new schemes

let me preface this by saying that i have bought into Caldwell and the new coordinators and I'm as excited about this new lions team as I could be......but, and there is a sir mix a lot sized butt.

Our schedule next season does not lend itself to a team that is finding its way through a difficult new offense for the first half of the season. The first half of the season is way easier than the second half... If we go 4 and 4 I the second half I'd have to say that's going to be very successful. I find myself wishing we would have that away packers game early instead late so we'd have a chance to play at home on all cylinders. Ditto for Chicago. If we drop that giants opener we might be off to a slow start until the new system gels ( I believe it will just might take time).

If this happens we could conceivably have a same or worse record with a much improved team. Just wondering the thoughts of more knowledgable fans as this is my only real fear switching from The Schwartz.
