My 53

QB- Stafford, Moore. We know what Orlovsky can do. I prefer Moore's intelligence and continuing development.. Plus our slot options would play to Moore's strength.

RB- Bush, Bell, Riddick, Wynn. Need a true power back/ back up to Bell, and he's playing solid on ST. I'm done with Leshoure.

FB- Collins, Abram. Owens possibly IR'd. Abrams is a younger, cheaper version of Owens. He's wasted enough of our cap for 2 years. Abrams to the Practice Squad at minimum to groom as a FB and ST ace. This is where we get the flexibility (IR or PS) to keep an open spot to supplement our CB unit if necessary.

WR- CJ, Tate, Broyles, Durham, Fuller. Leaving Ross on the bubble because I hate guaranteeing him a spot to return kicks. We have Bush, Tate, Broyles, Riddick, Fuller with return potential. We have slot options with Broyles, Ebron, Fauria, Bush, Riddick, CJ, and Tate. Ross was cut from GB for a reason. Keeping a guy just for returns feels so Stefan Logan/ Mel Gray to me. Worst case.. Fuller to the PS. Ogletree is gone either way.

TE- Pettrigrew, Ebron, Fauria

T- Reiff, Waddle, Hilliard, Lucas. Michael Williams to the practice squad.

Interior OL- Warford, Sims, Raiola, Swanson, Reynolds. Rodney Austin unfortunately doesn't seem to be picking it up after all this time. I'm as disappointed as anyone else. He should have the PS with the new rules.

DE- Ansah, Johnson, Jones, Taylor, Webster. So sick of the Tapp talk. He is not a hybrid, his production sucks. Waste of time bringing him here. Don't need his flexibility at LB either.

DT- Suh, Mosely, Fairley, Reid. 2 or 3 of these guys can double as DE's in the right scheme. Also Jones, Taylor, and Ansah have inside experience.

LB- Tulloch, Levy, Van Noy, Palmer, Whitehead. Everyone except Tulloch can play all 3 or 4 LB positions. We certainly don't need Tapp to contribute, and Travis Lewis is not the sleeper any of us thought. I hate giving Lewis a spot for even more reasons than giving Ross one (at least Ross would not risk our Offensive Weapons). I'd keep Lewis over Tapp though due to ST. Hepburn to the PS.

CB- Slay, Mathis, Bentley, Vaughn, Lawson, Greenwood. Not thrilled about this group. Hester and Seisay to the PS for potential. Keeping an extra roster spot open to add to this unit after final cuts. (Another reason to consider releasing Owens... cap space)

S- Quinn, Ihedigbo, Couplin, IAQ. Couplin is the true FS backup to Ihedigbo.

ST- Mulbach, Martin, I'll go with Freese but not thrilled about K.

That's 52 while leaving Ross off and giving us flexibiltiy at the FB position. I think our extreme depth at Offensive skill positions (plenty of slot options, RB depth) and a solid LB unit gives us the perfect opportunity to roster both talented starters and guys with promising potential. Loving the new coaching staff... can really see Couplin, Abram, Lucas, Webster, and Reid developing very well under the new staff... no kool aid.
