Tiki Barber

(I hope I'm doing this FanShot right.) Anyone know why the Lions didn't kick the tires on Tiki Barber? When Mikel Leshoure (sp?) went down it would seem that we needed a short duration (i.e. age doesn't matter) rugged running back until Mikel returns. Wouldn't Tiki have been perfect?

Krayfish here from AP. I feel a kinship to all the basement dweller teams in the NFL. At least we have each other. Now, that said, I think we have the two surprise teams this year. Spags is going to do a great job for you guys. Boy is Stafford something special. What a great job as a rookie. He is the next coming of Elway IMO. And what else do you need to say with the house of spears on your team? I know Stafford made some silly rookie mistakes, but he is a keeper. And he is a stellar QB in the making. And with a QB like Elway, every season is a possibility. Just wanted to wish you guys luck and I don't think you'll need it. Look for good things this year. But be patient. You have about 3 more years before you make it to the big game. But your on your way. Root for my Chiefs too. We both have the longest SB droughts in the NFL.

All members of Arrowhead Pride, your sister site on SB, feel your pain each year. Both of our teams have had a long, long cold spell. Yes, the Chiefs fans are the ones that get to watch our team pick right below your Lions each year. So we understand the frustration you feel. But be encouraged Lions fans. No one can say that you didn't nail the draft the past two seasons. You have done very well. And a foundation for the future is being laid even as we speak. Our two teams both have a long way to go yet to get to the utlimate goal, but we are both on track. So congrats from another underdog fan base. And good luck to you guys this season. Your definitely headed in the right direction.
