More rushing yards then last week already

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:07 PM EST reply actions

Another run
Looks like Martz is trying to establish the run today.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:10 PM EST reply actions

Giants start at their own 19
Pass to Burress good for 9 yards. Kiwanuka being carted off.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:14 PM EST reply actions

Facemask on Peterman
1st and 20 from Detroit's own 10

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:22 PM EST reply actions

Kitna to Williams
Lions move into Giants territory with a 26-yard pass.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:24 PM EST reply actions

Kitna lucks out
Officials rule that Kitna threw a pass on what could've been a sack or a fumble.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:25 PM EST reply actions

Green Bay up 7-0
Carolina doesn't look like they will be helping Detroit out in the standings today.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:26 PM EST reply actions

Pass to Roy is incomplete
Punt by Detroit pins NY deep in their own territory.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:27 PM EST reply actions

Manning to Jacobs
Big gain up to the 43-yard line.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:29 PM EST reply actions

Jeez
Jacobs ran right over a Lions defender for a gain of 18.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:33 PM EST reply actions

Giants short on 3rd down
Flag on the play is illegal formation.  Detroit accepts to move NY back again.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:35 PM EST reply actions

Check that
Detroit must have declined as NY is kicking a field goal.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:36 PM EST reply actions

Kitna sacked
Now 3rd and 19 for Detroit.

I hate you, George Foster.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:43 PM EST reply actions

Good return by NY
Giants take over at the Lions 37.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:44 PM EST reply actions

Giants pick up a first down on third down
But Moss fumbles and the Lions recover!

Ball just came out of his hands and the Lions were there to recover.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:49 PM EST reply actions

Lions do nothing on offense and punt
NY moving the ball... currently at their own 40

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 1:58 PM EST reply actions

Fisher tackles Shockey
short of a 1st down, punt for NY coming up.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:00 PM EST reply actions

Punt is a touchback
Detroit starts from the 20, have to get something going on offense for a change.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:00 PM EST reply actions

GB up 14-3
That game is gonna be tough to win on Thanksgiving.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:03 PM EST reply actions

McDonald picks up a first
Never was ruled down, need to see a replay though

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:05 PM EST reply actions

It's close
McDonald rolled over the defener as he was being tackled and his knee may have never touched.  Doesn't look like his knee never touched the ground, so the play should stand from the challenge.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:05 PM EST reply actions

Wow
Officials strike again as the call is reversed.  I don't understand how there was enough evidence.  Now 4th and 2.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:09 PM EST reply actions

3rd and 4 for NY
1st down to Moss.  NY in the 2-minute offense now.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:17 PM EST reply actions

NY scores a TD
Jacobs again breaks a tackle to get into the endzone.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:22 PM EST reply actions

10-0 Giants lead at the half
Martz better get his guys going in the 2nd half.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:29 PM EST reply actions

Pass dropped by Burress
Giants punt and Detroit takes ovr at their own 33

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:47 PM EST reply actions

Kitna to Roy for a first down
Finally start to get moving hopefully.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:50 PM EST reply actions

Roy looks like he hurt his finger
Is getting it taped on the sidelines.

Kitna sacked again by Strahan.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:52 PM EST reply actions

Roy makes a catch to bring up 3rd and 7
Pass was nearly intercepted but Roy took it away from the defender.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:53 PM EST reply actions

Lions elect to kick a FG instead
Hanson connects from 41 yards out, 10-3 Giants lead.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 2:55 PM EST reply actions

Droughns fumbles
And Jared DeVries recovers.  Another big turnover.  Hopefully the Lions can turn it into punts.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:02 PM EST reply actions

Jones gets it again
About a yard short of the 1st down.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:03 PM EST reply actions

They try to go for it
Flag on the play though.  False start.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:07 PM EST reply actions

Not even close
Looks like it was tipped.  Another wasted opportunity.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:08 PM EST reply actions

Screen play
Goes to the 28-yard line.  Tynes in to attempt a field goal from 46 yards out.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:16 PM EST reply actions

Bad throw by Kitna is picked off
Way too many defenders around Roy to make that pass.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:21 PM EST reply actions

Wasn't a horrible pass
But still way too much coverage to throw into.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:22 PM EST up reply actions

Giants stopped short of a first down
Tynes kicks a 20-yard field goal.  16-3 NY leads with 11:15 to go.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:31 PM EST reply actions

Oh man
Kitna barely missed a wide open Roy Williams.  No one was near him

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:35 PM EST reply actions

deja vu all over again
the on-line updates that I'm 'watching' the game on, they make it feel quite like the Michigan game yesterday....

Giants doing just enough, a la the buckeyes, Lions doing nothing whatsoever, the way Michigan never got anything going

by ahtrap on Nov 18, 2007 3:42 PM EST reply actions

Agreed
The offense has to step it up.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:44 PM EST up reply actions

C.J. jumped over two defenders
And took the ball away from one of them to make the TD catch.  Holy s***

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:49 PM EST reply actions

nice
more of that, please....well, maybe not the chuck it up and hope your receiver steals it away from the double team....more like more touchdowns, please, and in the next 4 minutes, if you could

by ahtrap on Nov 18, 2007 3:51 PM EST reply actions

The passing game was great on that drive
ALl passes thrown to different receivers I think

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:53 PM EST up reply actions

Manning sacked by Kalimba Edwards!
4th down coming up, Detroit uses its first timeout.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:55 PM EST reply actions

McDonald fumbles out of bounds
He tries to do too much, just catch the ball and go out next time.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:56 PM EST reply actions

Flag on the play
Pass went for no gain but it'll be roughing the passer!!

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:57 PM EST reply actions

here's the question
Is this Kitna circa 2006, or 2007? Kitna 2006 gets us down to the 25-30 yard line and fumbles. If this is truly a new Lions era, we're winning this game.

by ahtrap on Nov 18, 2007 3:59 PM EST reply actions

Kitna is picked off
He just threw it up for grabs and McDonald was the receiver.  Dumb, dumb, dumb.  2-minute warning.

No way McDonald was going to catch a jump ball like that.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 3:59 PM EST reply actions

Eli just takes a loss
Timeout Lions, they have 1 left with 1:49 to go.  (Ball on their own 18)

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 4:01 PM EST reply actions

Timeout Lions again
Droughns picked up a short gain.  Have to stop them 1 more time.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 4:02 PM EST reply actions

No flag on the play
Eli throws an incomplete pass.  Clock stops by itself now and Giants have to punt.  Thank God the refs picked up that flag.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 4:04 PM EST reply actions

Lions will have to go 70 or so yards.
Detroit does have 1 timeout left.  I thought they used 1 earlier in the half, guess not.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 4:04 PM EST reply actions

i'm sorry, but wtf?
Did the giants really just try a pass like stat tracker says they did?

by ahtrap on Nov 18, 2007 4:05 PM EST reply actions

McDonald f**** it up again.
Dropped a pass and it gets picked off.  Damnit

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 4:07 PM EST reply actions

Giants win 16-10
Can't believe the Lions gave it away like that.

by Sean Yuille on Nov 18, 2007 4:08 PM EST reply actions

believe it, it's the Lions
Well, at least you make it sound like it wasn't Kitna's fault, exactly....instead it's back to finding creative new ways to lose each week...
