Sorry for such light posting in the last week or so here at Pride of Detroit, but things have been very busy and I just keep running out of time to update POD. Don't worry though, later tonight I plan on putting up 4 or even 5 new posts to get you ready for the weekend. I'd look for them towards the end of Friday as I'll be busy until then.
As for some Lions news now, here's the latest out of Allen Park.
- It was announced Wednesday that defensive tackle Cleveland Pinkney was signed from the practice squad to the active roster, and also that defensive tackle Keith Wright was signed to the practice squad.
- James Hall was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after an unbelievable performance on the defensive line. Hall had a career-high tying 3.5 sacks and 7 tackles in the Lions' victory against Buffalo.
- Teddy Lehman practiced for the first time on Wednesday since being placed on the PUP list way back in July. Lehman has been inactive all season, and getting him back to full health would definitely be a plus. The Lions have three weeks to decide on Lehman's future this season. Detroit can either activate him, release him, or put him on IR.
- This week's game returns to FOX where Sam Rosen will handle play-by-play duties and Tim Ryan will be featured by doing the color. The Lions haven't won yet on FOX, and last week when they were on CBS for the first time, the Lions got their first win of the season. It may just be a coincidence, but if not, unfortunately the Lions only play one more time on CBS.
