Not All Lions Teams Are Horrible

As the Detroit Lions were losing their eighth game of the season on Sunday, another team with the nickname "Lions" was winning a league championship. In the league that calls home in our neighbor's to the north, the Grey Cup, which is equivalent to our Super Bowl, was played. One of the teams competing in it was the British Columbia Lions.

The B.C. Lions ended up winning the game by a score of 25-14 after kicking a record-tying six field goals. By bringing home the CFL championship, British Columbia has brought back some respect to the nickname Lions after Detroit has been trying to put it into the ground for the past years.

It just goes to show that as much as one team called the Lions can continue to go downhill, another is on top of the world... err, Canada. Too bad this couldn't be reversed. But, then again, I don't see Detroit even making the playoffs led alone a Super Bowl any time soon.
