Game #8 - Detroit Lions (1-6-0) vs Atlanta Falcons (5-2-0) - Open Thread

VS
The Lions finally re-take the field today after a week off, and will look to get their 2nd win of the season. It will not come easy as one of the league's rising teams comes to town. That would be the Atlanta Falcons, who are getting to the top thanks to the passing game of Mike Vick.

The biggest thing for Detroit to do in this game is to contain the Atlanta offense. Detroit will put up the points they have to, but I truly believe that it will come down to how effective the Lions defense is. With that Vick/Dunn combination, the defensive line, linebackers, and secondary has to just prevent any big plays from happening.

When it comes down to it, I don't see the Lions doing enough to pull out a win. I would bet on this being a high-scoring shootout with the Falcons having an advantage in the end.
