Hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day today. The weather certainly was great. It reached the low 90's here in Michigan, and with a holiday, an open pool, and that kind of weather, the combination is great. Let's get right into The Rundown with the latest NBA headlines.
- Ricky Williams is now the latest member of the Toronto Argonauts, a CFL team that had famous alumni such as Doug Flutie and "Rocket" Ismail. Williams received a year-long suspension from the NFL for another violation of the drug policy. Williams decided that another year off wouldn't be good at all and decided to continue to play football in another league. After getting the go-ahead from the Dolphins, the former Heisman Trophy winner found the Argos and signed on the dotted line. Today he made it through his first practice and is ready to go. - The current poll question on the NFL section of ESPN.com is pictured below:
As you can see, the question asks if you support to play 2 regular season games outside of the U.S. starting in 2008. I voted no on the matter. It's always good to have the annual preseason game in Japan as that has become a tradition. And I can even deal with the game played in Mexico City last year. But, there shouldn't be more than one game played outside the U.S. in one regular season. My opinion is that because the NFL is an American sport. It's the only of the 4 major sports to have all its teams in the United States, and the games should only be played in the United States. That's just my opinion, but if you hurry you can still cast your vote in the poll. (ESPN.com)
