"I went to hell and came back."

The headline of this story is a quote from Charles Rogers.  Rogers has had a very rough start to his NFL career.  He was a star in Saginaw during the high school years, at Michigan State he was one of the best receivers in school history, and in Detroit, he's done absolutely nothing.

Charles Rogers was the number 2 overall draft pick in 2003, and had the potential to become a dominating force in the NFL.  Things definitely didn't go as planned.  In 2003 Rogers missed the entire season due to a broken collarbone.  In 2004 the same exact thing happened.  Last season Rogers received a 4-game suspension for violating the league's drug policy.  After that happened, a wake-up call of some sorts came to Rogers in this offseason.

Charles Rogers was all the way down on the depth chart and really wasn't talked about for his play on the field.  Now, after a long road back, Rogers has re-dedicated himself and wants to be great again.

The quote in the headline is just part of what Rogers had to say in an article by the Detroit News.  Head over there to check it out.
