The Vikings and Lions always have great games when the two take the field together. With the usual two games each season, the home-and-home series provides great entertainment. It always seems like the games come down to one big play in the 4th quarter. Last season the Lions lost both games against the Vikings, the first in Minnesota by a score of 27-14, and the second in Detroit by the small margin of 21-16. In fact, the Lions haven't had any success against the Vikings in recent years. Detroit has lost the last 12 of 13 games played against Minnesota, with the last Lions victory coming in 2001.
Once again, the Vikings and Lions will meet twice this season. The first matchup will be played at the Metrodome in Minnesota on October 8th. The second collision between the NFC North rivals will come December 10th at Detroit. Best of luck to the Vikings this season and to Daily Norseman, make sure you check it out.
One last thing to add... On a non-NFL note, a Southern California Trojans blog also went live recently here at SB Nation. Head on over to Conquest Chronicles and help welcome Paragon SC to the network.
