Notes From Tuesday's Practice

Not a lot of change during yesterday's practice, but here are a few notes, mostly dealing with injuries.

  • Kevin Jones had some soreness in his foot and was kept on the exercise bike.  And just for the record, no, he wasn't wearing a Discovery uniform.  Rod Marinelli said that it was just a precautionary measure and that it wasn't serious.  He shouldn't be on the T.O. bike program, so I would expect him back on the field soon.

  • Cory Redding missed yesterday's practice due to a muscle pull around his ribs and is listed as day-to-day.

  • Damien Woody returned to the practice field (didn't participate) for the first time since the start of August after seeing a specialist on Monday to look at an ongoing hand injury.  He is expected to return in a week or so and retake his spot as the starting right guard.

  • Speaking of the right guard position, Rick DeMulling practiced with the 1st unit and Barry Strokes moved to right tackle instead of Kelly Butler.  This may just be temporary to test things out, but we'll have to see if it stays that way.
