The preseason is halfway done, and now it's down to the crunch time. For those players fighting to make the roster, it's now or never when it comes to impressing your coaches and creating a buzz. The chance to play is diminishing as the third game of the preseason is usually treated like a regular season game. I'd expect the starters to be out there for most of the first half if not more. For the offense, Jon Kitna needs to go out there on the first drive and lead the Lions into the endzone. Getting some points early-on would be a big plus. And on defense, cut down on the long distance plays and continue to force turnovers. Other than that, just go out there and stay safe. An injury at this point would just be a pain, literally.
Oakland is ranked near the bottom of the NFL, but that opinion may have changed after a 3-0 start thusfar. Can the Lions knock them off and rebound after a loss in Cleveland?
