Notes From Monday's Practice

There's only two days left until the final preseason game is played, and the roster is cut down drastically.  Until then, players will be out on the fields trying their hardest to impress the coaches and make the final roster.  Here's some notes from Monday's practice session to catch you up on the latest.

  • Yesterday, the Lions held a full workout in pads on the indoor field.  The weather has been very rainy as of late, so it has been a while since there has been a dry practice outside.

  • There are still tickets available for Thursday's game against Buffalo.  This is your last chance to see the team before the regular season starts, and by then, it'll be hard to get a look at them with tickets going fast.

  • Teddy Lehman still remains on the PUP list, and they're just a couple of players that sat out practice yesterday.  Idrees Bashir, Casey FitzSimmons, Shaun Rogers, Rex Tucker, Cory Redding, Roy Williams and Damien Woody all missed practice with ongoing injuries.

  • This Thursday when Detroit and Buffalo play each other will mark the fifth consecutive preseason that the two teams have finished each other's schedules.  Since 2002, a form of rivalry has developed since the two teams get together each year.  This isn't the only time that Detroit and Buffalo play in 2006 either. On October 15th, in Detroit, the two teams will play again during the regular season.
