Notes From Day 7 of Training Camp

Not too much to discuss from day 7 of training camp yesterday, but there are a few things.  Let's take a look:

  • The team practiced without pads for the first time during a full day of training camp.  That was a change from their normal routine.  Another change in the Lions' normal routine may be a cancellation of practice tomorrow (Sunday).  The coaching staff will talk about it and make a decision sometime after the scrimmage tonight most likely.

  • Damien Woody left practice with a hand injury.  He is listed as day-to-day, and was wearing a cast during the afternoon session.  Kevin Jones was held out of a goaline drill because of a quad contusion.  Fernando Bryant re-aggravated a hamstring injury and will be day-to-day.

  • The Lions announced that they signed defensive tackle Lynn McGruder.  McGruder was in Tampa Bay last year with Rod Marinelli.
