Kickoff is less than 2 hours away, and with that, it's time to get caught up on some of the latest things happening in Detroit. Here's the latest.
- The Lions' starting quarterback Jon Kitna enters today's game ranked 8th in the NFL for completion percentage. Kitna has the minimum of 40 attempts, and holds a number of 65.7% to get that top 10 ranking.
- Some other statistics involving Jon Kitna are also on the positive side. Even though the offense has not been all that good, Kitna has done pretty well himself. Kitna is one of just three QBs who have thrown over 60 passes, but have yet to throw an interception. Today against Green Bay, Kitna will look to continue that streak of no INTs.
- Detroit has another NFC North matchup this week with Green Bay, making it their 2nd in as many weeks. It'll be big for Detroit to get a win as they currently are 0-2, and can't afford to go into a bigger hole. On the other side of things, the Packers also are 0-2, so a win will be a must for them as well.
- The game today will be televised on FOX in and around the state of Michigan and Wisconsin. Doing the commentating will be Ron Pitts with play-by-play and Terry Donahue with color.
