I missed the daily update from practice on Wednesday, so I'll just combine that with notes from today's practice as well. Here's the latest.
- The Lions practiced in pads on Wednesday, and in helmets, shoulder pads, and shorts today. Both practices were held on the indoor field in Allen Park.
- The official Lions injury report is out, and the following players are listed on it: WR Shaun Bodiford (knee) and TE Casey FitzSimmons (wrist) are ruled out for the game. DT Shaun Cody (shoulder) and LG Ross Verba (hamstring) are probable. Bodiford, FitzSimmons, and Verba all missed practice today.
- Safety Idrees Bashir has been released. Bashir was placed on the injured reserve list right before the final roster cuts were made last Saturday. Bashir will have a tough time finding a new team with a season-ending injury, so he may be waiting for another year to even be signed.
- The broadcasting crew for both TV and radio have been announced. They are the following:
Dick Stockton will handle the play-by-play with Daryl Johnston adding color commentary and Tony Siragusa reporting from the sideline. The game will also be broadcast nationally on the Sports USA Radio Network, featuring play-by-play announcer Larry Kahn and color commentator Tim Pernetti. Reporting from the sidelines will be Troy West.
