End of the Week Lions Notes

  • Kevin Jones will begin rehab on his injured leg soon and says that there is a possibility he could be back before training camp.  I know I hope that comes true, but only if Jones is 100%.  There is no need to risk further injury in order to play a few weeks before schedule.

  • Great article on Dan Orlovsky regarding the charity work he does.  It's an interesting read, so make sure to check it out.

  • New defensive coordinator Joe Barry is set to move north to the Detroit area and get settled as preparation for the Senior Bowl begins considering the game is a week from tomorrow.

  • Lions wide receiver coach Kippy Brown is no longer in the running for the head coaching job at Grambling State.  Brown was named a finalist after interviewing for the job but didn't want to make the move.  He will remain as Detroit's wide receivers coach and likes the direction things are moving in.
