Blaine Saipaia Brought Back for Next Season

Lions offensive lineman Blaine Saipaia will be back next season after signing a new two-year contract yesterday. Saipaia was brought on in the second half of last season due to the countless amount of injuries sustained by offensive linemen. Being a former player on the Rams, Mike Martz knew Saipaia would fit in this offense and actually didn't do that bad of a job. Saipaia himself could not escape the injury bug though. He was put on the IR late in the season.

Although this isn't a huge move or something like that, any added depth to the offensive line is important at this point. With the way things went last year with injuries, the Lions just need as many bodies as possible in case the worse happens again as it did this past year.
