Why Does Millen Have to Rub It In?

As the combine gets underway, it gives the media a chance to talk with future NFL players, current coaches, and current management.  Throughout last season, we didn't hear from Matt Millen very often, but now he doesn't seem to be holding back that much in Indianapolis.  When asked about his wide receiver drafting habits and Calvin Johnson, Millen started busting out the jokes.

"I am a wide receiver expert," joked Millen, who spoke to a small group of reporters in the lobby of the Westin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis on the eve of today's NFL combine.

Millen was then asked if the Lions would avoid taking Johnson because they had picked receivers Charles Rogers (Michigan State), Roy Williams and Mike Williams with their first pick for three straight years.

"I don't know if you've noticed this, but we haven't really looked at what people have said we should do too often," he said.

Yeah, although it is humorous when anyone makes fun of Matt Millen, including himself, I'm not laughing.  This is just like a big slap in the face.  I appreciate that he can go back and have a laugh, but there is nothing funny about these horrid draft picks and lousy records.

Millen may be trying to make Lions fans laugh now, but he's been making everyone outside of Detroit laugh for years with all of his bad decisions.
