Brett Favre to Return in 2007

Lions fans will have to deal with Brett Favre for at least one more season.  It was announced on Friday that Favre has decided to return back for another season after great speculation that he was considering retirement.  That, however, proved to be just consideration as Favre isn't ready to retire just yet.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will return for the 2007 season, he told the Sun Herald in an exclusive interview this morning.

"I am so excited about coming back," he said. "We have a good nucleus of young players. We were 8-8 last year and that's encouraging.

"My offensive line looks good, the defense played good down the stretch. I'm excited about playing for a talented young football team."

The Lions will see Favre and the Packers twice in 2007 after losing both games to Green Bay this past season.  I wouldn't count on this being his final year either in 2007 as many are saying he is in the mindset of coming back for a couple more years.  Time will only tell with that, but I look forward to seeing him back on the field again in '07 even though he is a Packer.
