Lions Chances of Winning Super Bowl XLII: 100-1

As the past season now officially ends and the Super Bowl celebrations for Indianapolis begin, it is never too early to look ahead to next season's big game.  That's right, the odds from Vegas have already been released for Super Bowl XLII.

The 32 NFL teams all were rated with each team's chances of winning Super Bowl XLII, and the results are interesting.  Coming in first with the best chance of winning the next Super Bowl are the newest winners from Indianapolis and the San Diego Chargers at 6-1.  Next are the Bears and Patriots at 8-1, and then the Ravens at 12-1 before the rest.

To find the Lions or any other NFC North team you have to go down to the very bottom of the list where Detroit, Green Bay, and Minnesota all are listed as having a 100-1 chance of winning Super Bowl XLII.  I would say that's about right, but I think it would be more fitting to tack on another zero for the Lions' chances of even reaching the playoffs.
