Lions to Open 2007 Season at Oakland

The 2007 NFL Schedule is being unveiled on the NFL Network as we speak, but we already have found out the Lions' first two games of the season.

The Detroit Lions have gotten an early look at part of their regular-season schedule for 2007, and speculation that they will open the season at Oakland was confirmed today.

The Lions will play the Raiders on Sept. 9, according to NFL sources who have seen the schedule. The Lions' first home game is in Week 2, against the Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field on Sept. 16.

The rest of the schedule will be released in the next hour, so stay tuned for an update when the entire thing is announced.  I'll have a more detailed post talking about it tonight or tomorrow.
