Just when you thought Lions defensive tackle Shaun Rogers was on the right track to being a better person this offseason, new problems have come about over the weekend that are very serious.
The 20-year-old woman, who dances at the Secret City Players Den on Joy Road on the city's west side, complained to Detroit police Saturday about the Friday morning incident, police sources told The Detroit News.
I'm not going to completely convict Rogers just yet, but it certainly doesn't look good. To add on to the allegations mentioned above, Rogers also apparently had a gun in his waistband. Although the claims aren't stating that he pointed the gun at this woman, just having one on you when something like this is committed poses an even harsher punishment.
An update is expected by tomorrow, but I wouldn't be shocked if something came out today. All I can say is that I hope this isn't true. Rogers will be a big part of the defensive line next season as he is a former Pro Bowler. In an NFL where image is everything now-a-days, we may get to expereince the player conduct policy firsthand if charges are filed. Like I said, I'm hoping against that, but stay tuned.
