Lions Sign Pair of Draft Picks

With training camp getting closer and closer, the Lions are taking care of some roster issues that still remain.  One is getting Cory Redding signed, which is high up on the list of importance.  The rest deal with signing draft picks, which is also an important thing.  Nothing with Calvin Johnson looks to be happening soon, but in the mean time, two draft picks were signed yesterday, along with free agent quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan.

Linebacker Johnny Baldwin, a fifth-round draft pick from Alabama A&M, and cornerback Ramzee Robinson, drafted on the seventh round from Alabama, signed three-year contracts. Robinson previously had agreed to terms but did not sign until Thursday.

O'Sullivan agreed to terms earlier in the week. His contract is for one year.

With O'Sullivan being signed, the Lions released Phil Horvath, an undrafted free agent from Northern Illinois.  I would bet we see a few more signings in the next week as the Lions need to get their rookies into training camp with contracts.
