Ticket Package Goes on Sale Today for Lions Games

Lions fans are in luck early this summer as you can purchase tickets to regular season games starting this morning.  Normally regular season tickets don't go on sale until the end of August, but in a special bundle, you can get some far earlier than normal.  Before you go jumping for joy though, read the fine print.

The Lions are offering fans an early opportunity to purchase individual regular-season tickets. The catch: Fans must purchase an equal number of exhibition tickets.

Individual exhibition tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through the Ford Field Ticket Office, at Ticketmaster outlets, online and over the phone. But the deal for regular-season tickets is only available by calling Ticketmaster at 248-645-6666.

Approximately 4,000 tickets will be available for $40-$70 for each of the Lions' two home exhibition games: Aug. 9 against Cincinnati and Aug. 30 against Buffalo.

If you don't want exhibition tickets with your regular-season tickets, you'll have to wait until Aug. 31, the original public on-sale date.

This really isn't a bad offer if you want to get your regular season tickets early.  Preseason games are really unenjoyable to watch, especially in-person, but if you're just looking to see some NFL football, then you can't beat it.
