Orlovsky and Kitna Out for Saturday's Game?

Earlier this week, Dan Orlovsky was ruled doubtful for Saturday's preseason game at Indianapolis after being injured with a turf toe.  Chances are very slim that he does play, so that left only Jon Kitna and J.T. O'Sullivan.  That wasn't really a huge concern since the third preseason game is usually when starters see a lot of playing time.  That meant that Kitna would play quite a bit and then O'Sullivan could just finish the game.

Things aren't looking that good anymore.  Jon Kitna missed yesterday's practice with back spasms and is probable for the Colts game.  As of right now, whether he plays or not isn't set in stone, but you can imagine Kitna won't be thrown into the game unless he is absolutely healthy enough to play.  It would be good for him to get more time under his belt to get ready for the season, but J.T. O'Sullivan could handle the load since it is just the preseason.

Kitna and Orlovsky aren't the only ones injured.  There are other players that could be kept off the field on Saturday due to injury as well:

Receiver Mike Furrey left practice with soreness in his right knee and his status for Saturday is unknown. Defensive linemen Shaun Rogers (knee) and Dewayne White (groin) continued to practice and are expected to play against the Colts. Quarterback Dan Orlovsky (toe) is doubtful while guard Frank Davis (knee) has been ruled out.

Just as long as everyone gets healthy by the regular season, Detroit will be ok in the injury department.
