The Lions will trim their roster down to 75 players on Tuesday, beginning a week that will be filled with roster changes. Eventually, the cut down to 75 players will lead to the roster being slimmed down to 53 players on September 1, a week from today.
There are many players that are locked into a spot on the final roster and many that are up in the air. To give you an idea of who you should expect to see come the start of the season, I posted my first prediction of what I think the final roster will look like last week. It's now time for the second edition of those predictions as we are inching closer and closer to the season starting. Take a look and leave your thought.

There aren't any major changes on this edition of the predictions, but I updated it with the latest cuts, which includes Eddie Drummond. To fill that spot that became open, I added wide receiver Troy Walters to the final roster after he has had a solid preseason. In the end, it's either him or Kevin Kasper that gets that spot in my opinion.
Out of all the battles to earn a spot on the roster, the toughest in this most recent edition of predictions had to be picking between running backs Brian Calhoun and Aveion Cason. Cason is listed as the starting kick returner on the Lions' depth chart, and is ahead of Calhoun at RB. This would indicate that Cason will make the team and Calhoun won't, but I haven't gone ahead yet with that change. Calhoun received more playing time in the last game and the rumblings are that he will get to play more again in Indy. I guess we'll just have to see how this shakes out, but it is very close right now.
As usual, the injured reserve list grew quite a bit since the last update, so head on over to the Lions' official roster page for it.
