I'll be honest. I didn't watch much of the game last night after finding out that it was blacked out. Since I got that news pretty late on, I already had other stuff going on and didn't get to see a whole lot of the game. On top of that, it is the fourth preseason game, so I really don't think it needs a huge recap. Instead, let's quickly run through how each team scored.
1st Quarter
DET: 51 yard field goal by Jason Hanson
2nd Quarter
DET: 24 yard field goal by Jason Hanson
DET: 18 yard TD pass from J.T. O'Sullivan to Sean McHugh
BUF: 45 yard field goal by Rian Lindell
3rd Quarter
BUF: 5 yard TD run by Fred Jackson
4th Quarter
BUF: 40 yard field goal by Rian Lindell
BUF: 21 yard field goal by Rian Lindell
FINAL SCORE: Bills win 16-13
Detroit definitely blew this game. After leading 13-0, the Bills came back to score 16 unanswered to win the game. To make matters worse, it was Trent Edwards who led the Bills down the field for the go-ahead field goal after an almost 7 minute drive. On the following kickoff, Kevin Kasper fumbled the return despite being told by his teammate to stay in the endzone. Buffalo just took a knee afterwards to end the game. I would say that ended Kasper's time on the Lions' roster.
With the preseason now thankfully over, we can finally concentrate on the regular season. Detroit begins their 2007 campaign at Oakland on September 9th. Stay tuned next week for a preview of the NFL season.
