Predicting the Lions' Final Roster (Third and Final Edition)

As you probably know by now, all 32 NFL teams have to cut their roster down to 53 players tomorrow.  The move comes in preparation of the start of the NFL season, and leaves some players' hopes crushed and others imagined.  For the Lions especially, there are quite a few players on the bubble.

Below is my final prediction of the Lions' final roster.  I factored in injuries and other roster moves in the last week to try and get it as accurate as possible.

The final edition was by far the hardest. Remember, Devale Ellis is on the PUP list for the regular season already I believe, meaning he's out for the first 6 weeks of the year. Because of that, Cliff Russell made the team. Also, with Kevin Jones looking to be on the same PUP list, Aveion Cason makes the team as well. Once Jones returns, it'll be either him or Brian Calhoun that gets the boot, so both will have to step up.

Other than that, leave your feedback. I really am questioning some of my own decisions, and although we'll find out officially who gets cut tomorrow, there's still time to second guess in advance.

One final sidenote/prediction involves Lions QB Dan Orlovsky. There's a good chance he could end up on the IR or PUP list, which opens another spot on the roster. There are rumblings that that spot could go to Ryan Fitzpatrick, who currently plays for the Rams. He may be cut tomorrow, and Detroit would probably bring him in, especially since Martz has connections to him.
