Frampton In, Baldwin Out

After final cuts were made on Saturday, Detroit has since been evaluating all the players released from other teams across the league.  Out of all the players on the waiver wire, it appears Detroit will only claim one, but it is going to force the Lions to get rid of a rookie of their own.

The Lions have claimed safety Eric Frampton off waivers from Oakland and have waived linebacker Johnny Baldwin. Frampton and Baldwin both were fifth-round picks in this year's draft.

Baldwin could be a candidate for the practice squad. The Lions will announce their practice squad today.

With the lack of depth at safety it isn't surprising at all that Detroit made this move.  Frampton is now the fourth safety on the team to give the depth a big boost.
