The playoffs are finally here. Wild card weekend gets the postseason started with two games tomorrow and two more on Sunday. It's win or go home for every team, meaning a single play could end a team's season. Just ask Tony Romo about that last year.
Before I get into my own playoff predictions from now until the Super Bowl, below are my predictions for wild card weekend (winners in bold).
NBC SATURDAY FOOTBALL
4:30 PM Washington @ Seattle
8:00 PM Jacksonville @ Pittsburgh
NFL ON FOX (Sunday)
1:00 PM NY Giants @ Tampa Bay
NFL ON CBS (Sunday)
4:30 PM Tennessee @ San Diego
With the teams in bold advancing, here is how I see the rest of the postseason playing out:
Divisional Round
Dallas Cowboys beat New York Giants
Green Bay Packers beat Seattle Seahawks
New England Patriots beat Jacksonville Jaguars
Indianapolis Colts beat San Diego Chargers
Conference Championship Round
Dallas Cowboys beat Green Bay Packers
New England Patriots beat Indianapolis Colts
SUPER BOWL XLII
New England Patriots beat Dallas Cowboys
Having the top two teams advance in both conferences and then both #1 seeds go on to the Super Bowl is boring when it comes to no upsets, but that's just the way I see things playing out this year. Although I would bet on a couple upsets, we'll just have to wait and see.
