2008 Detroit Lions Mock Draft Database (Second Edition)

Below is the second edition of Pride of Detroit's Lions Mock Draft Database. Compared to the first edition posted earlier this month, you can definitely see the effect Kevin Jones has had on the Lions' draft needs. Rather than the focus being on cornerbacks or offensive tackles, the most common position drafted in the first-round by the Lions in these mock drafts is without a doubt running back. Considering the Lions do need a RB so badly, you can understand why the change has occurred, but I never thought it would be so drastic. Out of the 39 mock drafts currently in this version of the database, just over half of them have Detroit selecting a running back in the first-round. Illinois RB Rashard Mendenhall is the most common pick by far, but Jonathan Stewart and Felix Jones were included as well.

I'll likely update this a few more times before the draft so we can see the changes over the next few weeks, but until then, enjoy, and share your thoughts on who you think the Lions should draft.

(The third-round pick I used was Detroit's original selection, not the one they got from Cleveland.)
