Compensatory draft picks were given out today, and the Lions didn't get a single one.
The Detroit Lions were shut out in compensatory draft picks, which were awarded Monday at the NFL's annual meetings.
The picks are determined by a formula based on salary, playing time and postseason honors for players signed and lost in free-agency.
There were 32 compensatory picks awarded for the draft, April 26-27. All are in the third round and lower.
Now that compensatory picks are out, the official draft order should be released shortly. Knowing that, NFL Draft headquarters here at Pride of Detroit will begin to take shape, and I would say within a week or so it will be put together. Draft HQ will include a draft tracker for all seven rounds, and also links to many other draft-related items.
