Talking Baseball and SB Nation 2.0

Opening day for the Detroit Tigers is tomorrow, and it should come as no surprise that I am very excited for the start of the 2008 season. I'm a fan of all Detroit sports teams, but the Tigers are right up at the top of my list next to the Lions. This coming season brings never before seen excitement after offseason trades brought Edgar Renteria, Miguel Cabrera, and Dontrelle Willis to the Motor City. I know it isn't exactly the smartest thing to expect your favorite team to win the World Series, but with such a loaded lineup, the Tigers certainly have a great chance. Heck, if it weren't for so many question marks with regards to the bullpen, I would be setting aside time to watch the games in October right now.

With baseball season getting started, you all should head on over to Bless You Boys, SB Nation's Tigers blog. BYB will keep you updated on everything Tigers and will definitely help make the long days of the summer go by quicker as we wait for football season to begin.

New to Bless You Boys and all of the other baseball blogs in this network is SB Nation 2.0. At first glance, SBN 2.0 is just a redesigned look to SBN's blogs, but it is actually so much more. The new platform put together by our tech guys after months and months of hard work will provide more stats then you can ever imagine and a more interactive blog that benefits the readers in many different ways.

Pride of Detroit hopefully will be converted to 2.0 in the coming weeks, so I will hold off on diving into its features until then. It will come as a big change at first, but I guarantee that after a couple days you will all be in love with it.
