Lions Preseason Games Find a New Home

Coming this August, Detroit Lions preseason games will be broadcast on CBS Detroit (WWJ-TV Channel 62) instead of CW-50.

Tom Lewand, the Lions chief operating officer, said Monday having the game on Channel 62 opens the way for a bigger audience for the Lions.

Channel 62 is also the CBS outlet in metro Detroit for NFL telecasts.

"It's a bigger platform for us and gives us a chance to build our ratings," Lewand said.

As far as when the preseason games will be played, that information should be out tomorrow when the full NFL schedule is released.  In the meantime, you can go here for a rundown of the teams the Lions are playing in the preseason.
